Financial Accounting Analyst

Job Title: Financial Accounting Analyst Location: Colombia Type: Remote Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. Contract Type: Contractor Description: This role is essential for maintaining accurate and timely financial records, supporting management with financial analysis, and ensuring the integrity of the general ledger. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously. This position offers the opportunity to develop expertise in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Month-End Close: Drive monthly financial close activities, including the preparation of journal entries and the reconciliation of general ledger (GL) and balance sheet accounts.
• Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
• Financial Analysis: Collect and analyze financial data to define the organizations financial status and present findings and variance analysis to management.
• GL Reconciliation: Ensure monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts and balance sheets.
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements and support shared services by implementing best practices across multiple companies.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
• 1-3 years of experience with accounting and general ledger (Required)
• 1-3 years of experience with ERP software such as Oracle or SAP HANA (Required)
• 1-3 years of proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (Required)

Skills:

• Organizational Skills: Ability to maintain accurate and timely financial reporting while handling multiple priorities.
• Technical Expertise: Proficient in general ledger maintenance, transaction classification, and accounting principles.
• Data Analysis: Strong analytical and mathematical skills for understanding financial data and preparing reports.
• System Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Oracle Financial Systems or SAP (Preferred).
• Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure the accuracy of financial records and reports.
• Adaptability: Capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment, including supporting shared services across multiple companies.
