Junior Video Editor

Tradeview Markets is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Junior Video Editor to join our team! In this role, you will support our senior editors in crafting engaging video content, with a focus on social media and educational material. If you have a passion for video editing, a keen eye for trends, and the ability to create compelling short-form content, wed love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Assisting in First Cuts

• Support senior editors by creating initial video drafts, organizing footage, and ensuring a logical flow.
• Review raw footage and select the best takes to create polished and engaging content.

Editing Educational Content

• Edit informative videos for social media, making them engaging and easy to digest.
• Add text overlays, transitions, and simple effects to enhance the learning experience.

Following Trends

• Stay updated on social media trends to create relevant and appealing short-form content.
• Propose creative ideas that align with popular video styles on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.

Creating Short-Form Videos

• Edit reels, TikToks, and stories with a focus on high engagement.
• Incorporate attention-grabbing elements, like sound effects and trending music.

Assisting in Ad Design

• Support senior editors with resizing videos, adjusting formats, and creating simple motion graphics.
• Ensure ad content aligns with brand guidelines and platform specifications.

General Support for Senior Editors

• Help organize project files, export and compress videos, and prepare content for delivery.
• Assist with quality checks to ensure all videos meet company standards.

Collaboration and Teamwork

• Work closely with senior editors and the marketing team to ensure smooth content production.
• Be flexible and ready to assist with additional tasks, such as brainstorming or basic graphic design.

What Were Looking For

• Basic experience in video editing (internship or personal projects welcome!)
• Proficiency in editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
• Understanding of social media video formats and best practices
• Eye for detail and ability to follow brand guidelines
• Creativity and willingness to experiment with new content ideas
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Bonus Points

• Knowledge of After Effects or motion graphics
• Experience with social media content creation
• Familiarity with trending video styles and platform algorithms
