Position: Clinical Medical GeneticistRole SummaryWe are seeking a clinical medical geneticist to join Genética Humana, a leading private genetics practice based in Bogotá, Colombia. The selected candidate will provide outpatient consultations in general medical genetics, assisting in the diagnosis, counseling, and medical follow-up of patients with hereditary conditions across all age groups. This position is ideal for a clinician committed to ethical practice, scientific integrity, and patient-centered care.

The role offers the opportunity to be part of a highly experienced team, with access to advanced diagnostic tools and innovation projects. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform clinical evaluations and genetic counseling for patients referred for general genetic assessment. Interpret and integrate genetic test results into patient care plans.

Educate patients and families on diagnosis, inheritance, prognosis, and management. Maintain high ethical and professional standards in clinical work. Participate in internal clinical discussions and continuous medical education sessions.

QualificationsMedical degree (MD) with completed specialization in Medical Genetics.Valid medical license to practice in Colombia. Academic title must be legally recognized in Colombia (Colombian or validated foreign degree). Candidates with unvalidated foreign titles will not be considered.

At least 2 years of experience in clinical genetics (can include residency). Applicants must not have worked for the pharmaceutical industry. Diplomas, proprietary masters degrees (máster propio), or online courses will not be accepted as academic credentials.

Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with patients and families. Fluency in Spanish; English is desirable but not mandatory. What
